Look, I'm not going to hit you with a wall of credentials and expect you to care. Let's just say I've got the diplomas, the degree, and more than 20 years of experience training everyone from regular folks trying to survive their 40s to guys who get paid ridiculous amounts of money to play professional sports. I used to own a gym too, sold it at the right time, which honestly might be the smartest thing I've ever done.

Here's what actually matters: I know what it's like to be in great shape, and I know what it's like to watch that completely disappear. Three kids later, somewhere between the soccer practices, the minivan and approximately ten thousand Tim Horton’s drive-throughs, I found myself 60+ pounds heavier and wondering what happened. I was the mechanic driving a car held together with duct tape. The trainer who needed a trainer.

So I fixed it. After 40. Lost the weight, rebuilt the strength, and at 46, I'm moving better than I have in years.
